BACKGROUND: Since 1952, Beacon Group has been creating opportunities for people with disabilities across Southern Arizona, Phoenix and beyond. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, Beacon serves over 2,000 people with disabilities each year. Beacon provides job training and placement, supported and center-based employment, and day treatment programs to assist nearly two-thirds of working-age people with disabilities who do not have a job. As a Beacon employee, you can be a part of delivering our mission and improving the lives of people with disabilities.POSITION INTRODUCTION: Grounds Maintenance and Labor Position.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure all ground maintenance assignments meet contractual standards.Maintain all safety standards.Monitor all job related supplies and equipment. Ensure all equipment is maintained properly and in good working order.Work with Supervisor/Job Coach to resolve all ground maintenance issues. This includes addressing customer concerns and assisting the Supervisor/Job Coach to quickly resolve issues.Perform all ground maintenance duties as needed.Perform additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor/Job Coach.Attend regular safety meeting and trainings to maintain a safe working environment for the customer and employees.Must comply with heat/sun precautions and that all personnel wear required clothing and footwear while at worksite.Dress Code Long work/denim pants, long sleeve shirt, steel toe/puncture resistant boots.Safety Equipment Provided safety vest, safety glasses, hat, ear plugs, dust masks, work gloves.Insert bullet point #5QUALIFICATIONS:Experience in working in outside environment helpful but not necessary.
