Infusion RN II- PRN- McKinney

Position Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) – PRN (As Needed). Supports the Infusion Department at the McKinney location. Typical hours Monday – Friday 8:30 am‑5 pm with no weekends, on‑call or major holidays. Responsibilities Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices. Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material. Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician. Administer all medications/blood products using correct medication/blood product, dosage/amount, route, time and technique. Ensure pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to administration of therapies where applicable. Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient, reviewing labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage modifications, problems and symptom management. Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports and maintain central line catheter devices. Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided. Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture. Qualifications Level I (Entry level – 0‑3 years nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred) Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education; BSN preferred. RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Maintain continuing education requirements. Level II (Minimum three (3) years nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred) Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred. Level Senior (Minimum five (5) years nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology; oncology certification preferred) Minimum five (5) years nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology strongly preferred. Oncology certification preferred.
