We Own It!Manages the site safety program on assigned project. Educates and trains Austin Commercial project staff in federal, state, and local laws, ensuring compliance with the company’s current safety manual, policies and expectations.Responsibilities:Builds working relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety representativesCreates accurate safety reports and accident investigation documentsProvides and participates in staff safety training and subcontractor development; possesses strong presentation skillsRepresents company in a positive and professional manner with owner and subcontractorsCreates and facilitates safety training on a variety of subjects that align with particular project schedulesBuilds and maintains relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, architects, etc.)Participates in safety organizations outside of the company and in assigned regionEnsures compliance with the company’s current safety manual, policies and expectations.Requirements:6-8 years safety experience in construction industryAuthorized OSHA 500 TrainerCurrent on CPR and First Aid certifications SWPP knowledgeSafety certification from an accredited organization, such as BCSP or an equal alternativeAdvanced knowledge of construction processes and proceduresProficient in relevant softwareOutstanding communication and negotiation abilities; has the ability to have effective crucial conversationsManages time and resource allocation appropriatelyBenefits & CompensationWe offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, and a matching 401K plan.
