Direct Care Worker

Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working in healthcare, social assistance, or related fields. CPR and First Aid certification. Experience working with diverse populations including individuals with disabilities or chronic illnesses. Responsibilities: Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide mobility support including transferring, positioning, and ambulation assistance to ensure client safety. Monitor and document clients’ physical and emotional conditions, reporting any changes to healthcare supervisors promptly. Support clients in participating in social, recreational, and community activities to promote engagement and independence. Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals, adhering strictly to protocols. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients, following infection control and safety guidelines. Build trusting relationships with clients by demonstrating empathy, patience, and respect in all interactions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to update care plans and ensure continuity of care.
