Set Up Machinist

We are looking for an experienced Setup Milling Machinist to join our team. We’re seeking a skilled machinist who takes pride in precision work, understands CNC milling operations, and can independently set up machines to produce quality parts efficiently and consistently. work hours: 7 AM - 5:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components according to drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Select and install appropriate cutting tools, workholding, and fixtures.
• Set tool offsets, work offsets, speeds, feeds, and other machine parameters.
• Perform first-piece inspections and make necessary adjustments to maintain part quality.
• Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup issues.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Work closely with programmers, engineers, and other machinists to improve setups, quality, and productivity.
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
