Position: Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Location: Lakeland, FL
Shift: PRN
Pay: $37.00 per hour

Charming Lakes Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our supportive, team-oriented rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys helping residents improve their independence, functional abilities, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist

• Provide occupational therapy interventions, including ADL training, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities

• Assist with individualized treatment programs based on each resident’s needs and goals

• Organize and facilitate treatment groups as appropriate

• Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding therapy programs and strategies

• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation

• Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team collaboration

• Monitor, clean, and maintain therapy equipment and report any equipment needs

• Promote resident safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care while respecting each resident’s individual needs and rights

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

• Certification or eligibility for certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a COTA in the state of Florida

• Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or related healthcare setting preferred

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

• Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care
