Position Summary for the Respiratory Therapist (RT) Clinical Liaison position:

Polaris Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dynamic, clinically driven Respiratory Therapist (RT) Clinical Liaison to drive admissions for our premier, state-of-the-art 14-bed "Spiritus" Ventilator Unit . Serving as the face of Polaris across Delaware and surrounding states (such as Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey), you will bridge the gap between acute-care hospitals, trauma centers, and our specialized weaning and rehabilitation facility.

In this hybrid clinical-marketing role, you will perform high-level respiratory assessments on potential admissions, coordinate smooth transitions of care, and build robust referral networks with regional physicians, case managers, and discharge planners.

Core Responsibilities for the Respiratory Therapist (RT) Clinical Liaison position:

·     Drive Strategic Admissions: Cultivate and maintain strong relationship pipelines with regional acute care hospitals, long-term acute care hospitals (LTACHs), and healthcare systems throughout Delaware and neighboring states to secure qualified patient referrals.

·     Conduct On-Site Clinical Assessments: Travel to referring hospitals to perform comprehensive clinical reviews of medically complex patients on ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, or tracheostomies to ensure they meet admission criteria for the Spiritus unit.

·     Coordinate Transitions of Care: Collaborate closely with the Polaris interdisciplinary respiratory and nursing teams to safely plan and execute complex medical transfers.

·     Brand Advocacy: Educate hospital discharge planners, pulmonologists, and families on the specialized capabilities of the Spiritus unit, highlighting our 24/7 RT coverage and goal-oriented ventilator-weaning protocols.]

·     Market Intelligence: Monitor regional healthcare trends, identify untapped referral channels, and represent Polaris at local healthcare conferences and networking events.

Qualifications & Requirements:

·     Clinical Licensure: Must hold an active Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT).

·     Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience managing complex ventilator and tracheostomy care. Prior experience in healthcare marketing, case management, or a clinical liaison role is highly preferred.

·     Travel Ability: Willingness to travel throughout the designated territory (Delaware and adjacent state lines). A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

·     Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, public speaking, and negotiation skills to confidently present clinical capabilities to physicians and hospital executives.

·     Tech Savvy: Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and customer relationship management (CRM) software for tracking leads.
