Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP, C-EFM Must-Have: C-EFM highly encouraged Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. This position involves working night shifts three times a week. The RN will care for patients throughout the labor and delivery process, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and C-section deliveries. The nurse will manage higher-risk mothers, including those on magnesium sulfate and preterm labor protocols. The unit follows a 1:1 to 1:2 patient care ratio for labor and delivery. Couplet care will be provided at a ratio of 1:3. Floating to other obstetric units may be required based on facility needs. Teamwork, evidence-based practice, and family-centered care are core values of our nursing group. The environment is supportive, emphasizing fun and laughter at work. Candidates with prior charge experience are preferred. Charting is done using the Epic system. Weekend shifts will be required as part of the role. On-call duties are expected approximately 1 to 3 shifts every six weeks. The unit features six labor and delivery rooms, ten postpartum rooms, and two operating rooms.
