About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVOR RN in Asheville, North Carolina, 28801!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 8 weeks Shift: 06:00 - 14:00 Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS and ACLS Must-Have: Critical thinking skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity patient area Excellent communication skills with interdepartmental teams Description: Rapid response unit with a guaranteed 40 hours a week. The unit has 4 patient beds with a 1:1 patient ratio. Staff includes RNs, a clinical nurse coordinator, a secretary, and a manager. Equipment used includes GE Carescape Monitoring and Fuji ultrasound. Documentation is completed using a Cerner system. Scheduling is required Monday through Friday from 05:00 to 13:30. On-call requirements involve staying late 1-2 times per week. Floating policy applies within the scope of practice and experience. Critical care experience is mandatory, and PreOp experience is a plus. Advanced skills needed include ACLS. Procedures performed on the unit include large-bore IV starts, medication administration, and skin assessments. Assist with arterial line, central line, and epidural placement. Responsibilities include transporting patients to the OR and assisting with induction, intubation, positioning, and skin prep. Candidates should be familiar with BCMA and demonstrate excellent documentation skills. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently in a high-acuity environment.
