This is a role for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment—balancing hands‑on engineering design with client interaction, project leadership, and team development. If you enjoy variety in your work, ownership over your projects, and the ability to make a visible impact, this position offers all of that and more.Primary Responsibilities: Lead civil engineering design and project management for municipal infrastructure, including water and wastewater systems, drainage, utilities, roadway design, site development, conveyance, storage, and pump stationsSupport the Client Team Lead with business development activities and help strengthen client relationshipsInteract directly with clients to ensure successful project delivery.Mentor and develop team members in both technical skills and professional growthAssist with proposals, presentations, and participation in professional organizations and tradeshowsDeliver projects within defined budget, schedule, and contractual commitmentsPrepare engineering plans, manage GIS and file organization, and coordinate internal/external surveying and subconsultant activitiesAssist with defining project scope and managing contract changes; negotiate scopes with subconsultantsDevelop technical reports, feasibility studies, and engineering designsProvide construction administration and coordinate construction management activitiesEstablish goals and performance feedback for team members.Participate in recruiting efforts, including networking events and college career fairsRequired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) License in South DakotaMinimum 5 years of experience managing projects and client relationshipsMinimum 10 years of experience in the civil engineering consulting industryPreferred Qualifications: 15+ years of experience planning, designing, and constructing public utility projectsAll Foth Companies are equal opportunity employers, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by law.
