Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment and systems to support safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• This role involves working with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems, including PLC-controlled machinery.
• The technician performs preventive and predictive maintenance, responds to equipment breakdowns, and ensures minimal downtime through timely and effective repairs.
• Additionally, the position requires adherence to safety standards, accurate documentation of maintenance activities, and participation in continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment reliability and operational performance.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Electronics, completion of a two-year vocational program, a four-year apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
• Strong computer skills, with the ability to learn and utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for work order processing.
• Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and apply problem-solving techniques effectively.

Training Requirements:

• On-the-job training
• Specialized machine training
• OSHA-required training

Physical Demands:

• Able to lift up to 35 pounds frequently.
• Able to work 3rd shift with 5% a shift differential.
• Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes and hoists.
• Work at multiple heights.
• Climb on equipment, machines, ladders, man lifts and various step stools.
• Stand for a minimum of 8-hour shifts with minimal breaks.
• Work various shifts and workday schedules including nights and weekends.
• Exposure to magnets that may impact medical devices.
• Kneel, squat, and crawl on knees.
• Work in awkward positions, including forward reach, lateral reach, squat, overhead reaching, twisting and forward head and rotation of neck.
• Work in tight spaces.
• Repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling rotating.
• Use of fine motor skills.
• Use of maintenance hand tools.
• Required Personal Protective Equipment: hearing protection, safety glasses, steel toed/metatarsal foot gear, and ARC Flash provided protective clothing and equipment including shock resistant gloves, fall restraint harnesses, jackets, chaps, helmet, grinding shield, etc.
• Note – all repair tooling, hand tools, and storage will be provided.
