This position requires an initiative-taking, dependable leader to manage our warehouse team. This position requires a self-driven, well-organized leader who can exercise decision making skills and time management with little supervision. This position reports to the Plant Manager and supports the company with the responsibilities that are included below.Primary Responsibilities:Directs the development and implementation of activities in the warehouse to meet productivity goals, quality, and cost objectivesPlan facility layouts or designsSet warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leadersEstablishes and measures KPI's for all warehouse functionsPrioritizes warehouse based on customer wanted date, product availability, and available resourcesWorks with cross functional team, including production and customer service, to ensure we are meeting customer expectationsOversee day-to-day picking, packing, shipping, receiving activities Manage and assign workloads and projects to employeesPrepare, inspect, and verify paperwork is ready for ordersOversee required training and development of employees for continued growthEstablish or implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, or procedures in conjunction with team membersRecommend process improvements to increase efficiency and achieve department goalsDevelop and implement appropriate training with team members to ensure we are driving efficiency, accuracy, and appropriate controlsMaintain safe work environment and participate in safety program developmentAssist in performance reviews and team member developmentResponsible for maintaining and enforcing all food safety, employee safety and quality policies and proceduresComply with GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP and other quality and employee safety programsOther duties as assignedSkills and Qualifications:5+ years warehouse management experience requiredBachelor's degree in Operations Management or related preferredExperience in food and beverage industry preferredExperience with lot number controls and tracking is necessaryStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects, adapt to changing deadlines & lead the team to meet deadlinesForklift certification requiredAbility to effectively communicate and interact when working with cross-functional teamsAbility to multi-task in a demanding environmentERP and/or WMS experience requiredComputer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, experience with handheld scanning devicesExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to take initiative and work independentlyPhysical requirements include lifting to 60 lbs., bending, standing, and climbingBenefits of Working at PS Seasoning:When you join the PS family, you will receive: Competitive Pay • Health, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance • 401K with Company Match • Paid holidays & vacation • 50% Off Employee Discount • Employee Appreciation Events • Outdoor Courtyard with Putting Green • Delicious Smells*PS Seasoning is an equal opportunity employer.
