Position Overview

• We are seeking a motivated Criminal Defense Attorney to join our growing legal team in Vienna, Virginia .

• The ideal candidate will have experience handling criminal defense matters and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload across various stages of litigation.

• This role offers the opportunity to represent clients in court, develop defense strategies, and advocate for favorable outcomes in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

• Represent clients in General District Court and Circuit Court proceedings.

• Manage criminal defense cases from initial consultation through resolution.

• Prepare, draft, and file pleadings, motions, legal briefs, and other court documents.

• Conduct legal research and develop effective case strategies.

• Advise clients regarding their legal rights, options, and case developments.

• Gather, review, and analyze evidence to support defense strategies.

• Conduct witness interviews and prepare clients for hearings and trial.

• Present evidence and advocate on behalf of clients during court proceedings.

• Negotiate with prosecutors when appropriate to achieve favorable resolutions.

• Maintain regular communication with clients and provide exceptional client service.

• Manage multiple active cases while meeting court deadlines and maintaining accurate case documentation.

• Active license to practice law in the State of Virginia and in good standing with the Virginia Bar.

• Minimum of 1 year of criminal defense experience .

• Strong courtroom advocacy and litigation skills.

• Experience handling criminal cases from intake through disposition.

• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.

• Spanish language proficiency is a plus, but not required.
