Cath Lab Technologist in Meriden, CT

Step into a vital imaging technologist position with a focus on Cardiac Catheterization, delivering patient-centered care in a dynamic cath lab setting. This contract opportunity spans 17 weeks and provides a set schedule with a blend of day shifts and on-call rotations.


Schedule:

• 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM shifts
• On-call required based on unit needs
• Every third weekend on-call rotation
• On-call two additional weekdays per week

Qualifications:

• Active BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications
• RT(R) (Registered Technologist, Radiography) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) credential
• Prior experience working as a Cath Lab Technologist highly preferred
• Proficiency operating imaging equipment for cardiac procedures
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

• Support invasive cardiac and vascular procedures as a crucial member of the cath lab team
• Prepare, operate, and monitor imaging equipment during diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection control protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses, ensuring high-quality patient care before, during, and after procedures
• Accurately document patient information, procedural data, and imaging results
• Participate in on-call coverage, responding promptly as required for emergencies and scheduled procedures
