In this role, you will own the design, deployment, and optimization of our local, wide-area, and cloud-connected networks — ensuring maximum uptime, performance, and security across every site and user. You will serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert, partnering closely with IT, Security, DevOps, and business stakeholders to drive network strategy, mentor junior engineers, and deliver resilient, scalable solutions that support a fast-moving, omni-channel fashion brand.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect and implement enterprise-grade wired, wireless, and WAN networks across corporate offices, retail stores, and distribution centersInstall, configure, and support network infrastructure (firewalls, routers, switches, wireless controllers, access points, load balancers, SD-WAN)Lead network security initiatives including firewall policies, segmentation, 802.1X, NAC, VPN, and zero-trust frameworksMonitor and optimize network performance through capacity planning, packet analysis, and root-cause troubleshootingDesign and maintain high-availability and failover solutions to ensure business continuityManage change control for upgrades, patching, and configurations in alignment with ITIL processesMaintain comprehensive network documentation (topology diagrams, runbooks, IP schemas, SOPs)Configure and optimize VoIP, QoS, and routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF)Partner with vendors and MSPs for technology evaluation, procurement, and implementation oversightMentor junior engineers and provide escalation/on-call supportCollaborate cross-functionally with Infrastructure and Security teams (VMware, Dell systems, Active Directory, AWS/Azure)Role RequirementsBachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, environmental health & safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.12+ years of progressive safety leadership experience, including multi-site oversight within a distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or eCommerce environment.Demonstrated success implementing safety programs that reduce incident rates and improve compliance outcomes.Extensive working knowledge of Cal/OSHA and Federal OSHA regulations, including experience managing audits and regulatory inspections.Proven experience leading safety teams in large workforce environments (1,000+ employees; 3,000+ preferred).Strong understanding of workers' compensation, experience modification factors, and risk mitigation strategies.Experience building safety infrastructure from a strategic level, including policies, SOPs, dashboards, and training programs.Professional safety certifications are highly preferred (CSP, CIH, CHST, or equivalent).Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.Strong analytical, problem solving, and strategic planning skills.OSHA certifications are highly desirable.Schedule of this position: Monday – Friday | Core business hours | Onsite in Santa Fe Springs, CAPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an DS.
