Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night 3x12.0 shift.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is effectively followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while promoting a safety-first environment for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis through collaboration with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner according to policy.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, providing direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching upon admission, anticipating the discharge date.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, utilizing problem-solving techniques and effective delegation.
• Maintain personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital and nursing policies.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning, ensuring effective communication with staff and management regarding service needs.
• Assume charge responsibilities as needed and pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift.
• ACLS Required Prior to First Shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
