Solarium Bartender

New York Athletic Club

Description

Solarium bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, providing excellent member service, and ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve drinks according to standard recipes or customer preferences
Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area
Check customer identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance
Process payments, and operate the POS system
Monitor customer behavior and ensure responsible alcohol service
Restock bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, and garnishes
Clean glassware, utensils, and bar equipment
Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff for smooth service
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Knowledge of drink recipes, cocktails, and bar techniques
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Basic math and cash-handling skills
Attention to detail and cleanliness
Friendly, outgoing personality
Requires standing for long hours, lifting supplies, and working nights, weekends, and holidays

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Previous bartending or hospitality experience is a plus
Bartending certification
