Construction Project Manager (Starship Launch Infrastructure)

Overview Cape Canaveral, FL SpaceX seeks a Construction Project Manager for Starship Launch Infrastructure. This role is responsible for the planning and execution of new facility construction projects, renovation projects, and strategic planning of production, office, and fabrication spaces at SpaceX launch sites. You will work with facility engineers, designers, facilities and maintenance teams, vendors, and internal partners to support these goals. You will have the opportunity to drive positive change and own projects from start to finish, with the goal of making the SpaceX campus a world-class manufacturing facility. CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER (STARSHIP LAUNCH INFRASTRUCTURE) Responsibilities Manage, coordinate, and act as a liaison to facilities projects, including construction and maintenance operations at SpaceX facilities Coordinate projects to ensure vendors meet SpaceX standards and codes while delivering services, materials, and craftsmanship; facilitate city, county, and governmental approvals Work with urgency to minimize interruption to operations Improve process planning for construction projects: formulate, price, approve, execute, and review; oversee lifecycle improvements to deliver on-time and under-budget results with customer satisfaction Manage tools and folder systems related to renovation projects Communicate project status daily/weekly/monthly at multiple levels within the company Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and RFP documents for vendors Gather proposals from architects, engineers, and contractors; assign contracts upon receipt of all proposals Develop final cost and schedule, and implement controls to manage cost, schedule, and scope Coordinate project implementation and track status, including permit/inspection work Work with the end user to transition post-construction into operations and maintenance Ensure maintenance plans are set up for any new equipment before closeout Take on new projects as needed Review and manage project request tickets; create work orders as needed and manage to completion Maintain accurate record documents by reconciling construction documentation Maintain a safe work site by enforcing OSHA requirements, safety practices, site logistics, and applicable regulations Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, structural engineering, architecture, or construction management 2+ years of professional experience in architecture, engineering, construction management, and/or facilities management Preferred Skills and Experience Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and PDF editors such as Bluebeam 2+ years of experience with facility design software/tools (e.g., Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, BIM 360, Navisworks) Professional Engineer (PE) License or Registered Architect 1+ year of strategic facilities planning experience 1+ year of manufacturing facility experience 1+ year of construction cost estimating experience Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations Ability to manage priorities with minimal guidance and work independently in a fast-paced environment Additional Requirements Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral Willing to support nights and weekends as needed Ability to provide 24x7 on-call support in emergency situations Comfortable working in a high-stress environment with multiple projects and changing direction Physical ability to stand, lift and carry moderately heavy materials or equipment (up to 35 lbs) Occasional travel may be required Willingness to work outdoors SpaceX is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment is based on merit and qualifications and is not influenced by race, color, religion, gender, national origin, veteran status, disability status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, or any other protected status. #J-18808-Ljbffr SPACE EXPLORATION TECHNOLOGIES CORP
