Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position on a night shift at a community hospital in Mayfield, KY, requiring at least 1 year of OB/L&D experience and multiple active certifications.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a combined OB/GYN department at a 107-bed, Joint Commission-accredited community hospital
• 8-bed L&D unit operating under AWHONN patient ratio standards
• Patient population includes OB, nursery, and occasional gynecological surgery and cosmetic procedure patients (breast reduction, abdominoplasty)
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement, with additional weekend hours as needed
• Floating required as needed
• On-call required as needed
• 13-week contract
• EMR: MediTech

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Kentucky (KY state license or Compact license) required
• Minimum 1 year of OB/L&D nursing experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• Required certifications (AHA-issued): ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS; additional required certifications: AWHONN, HWC — all must be active prior to start
• Candidate must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides inpatient labor and delivery care within a combined OB/GYN unit at a sole acute care provider serving an eight-county region
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Professional scrub attire required; casual wear is not permitted — any scrub color is acceptable
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint Health facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
