Director - Financial Crimes Investigation Data

Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) Digital Products, within the Global Risk & Compliance (GRC) organization, is responsible for developing and delivering digital products, data capabilities, and tools that enable effective financial crime risk management. The Investigations Data team delivers high-quality, well-governed, and scalable data products that power financial crime investigations and enable the identification, investigation, and reporting of suspicious activity. The team partners closely with Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC), Technology, FCRM Centers of Excellence (CoEs), and Data Science to strengthen and modernize the investigations data ecosystem and enable effective AML investigations.

The Director, “FCRM Investigation Data” will lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of data products that power financial crime investigations. Operating at the intersection of Product, Data, Technology, and Risk, this role will translate business and regulatory needs into scalable, trusted, and well-governed data products and capabilities.

The Director will partner across GFCC, FCRM CoEs, Technology, Data Science, and Data Governance to establish data product priorities, modernize the Investigations data ecosystem, and enable advanced analytics and regulatory outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the data product strategy and roadmap for Financial Crimes Investigations, aligned with FCRM priorities, enterprise risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
• Define and prioritize future-ready data requirements and capabilities to support investigations, advanced analytics, dynamic risk modeling, and evolving regulatory needs.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and product leader for Investigations data, partnering across GFCC, FCRM CoEs, Technology, Data Science, and Operations to align priorities and deliver business value.
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of Investigations Data Products , translating business and regulatory needs into scalable data capabilities and data domains.
• Partner with Technology on the design, development, testing, and implementation of scalable, resilient, and reusable data products.
• Partner with Data Science to enable advanced analytics, AI, and automation that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of financial crime investigations.
• Drive the modernization of the Investigations data ecosystem to improve data accessibility, scalability, usability, and operational effectiveness.
• Ensure appropriate data governance, quality, controls, and regulatory requirements are embedded throughout the data product lifecycle.
• Support governance forums, regulatory examinations, and internal audits related to Investigations data products and capabilities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in Data Products, Data Management, Technology, or a related discipline, including experience leading complex enterprise data products.
• Strong Data Product Management experience, including product strategy, roadmaps, requirements, prioritization, delivery, adoption, and performance measurement .
• Strong understanding of modern data concepts and architectures, including data products, data domains, data models, APIs/data services, data integration, metadata, lineage, and data quality .
• Experience partnering with Technology and Engineering organizations across the full product and software development lifecycle .
• Strong understanding of data governance and controls , including embedding governance requirements into product design and delivery.
• Experience with Agile product development methodologies and tools , including PRDs, user stories, backlogs, roadmaps, and JIRA.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives and influence across a highly matrixed organization.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, executive communication, and stakeholder management skills , with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building data products within financial services or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience enabling AI/ML, advanced analytics, entity resolution, network analytics, or other data-intensive capabilities through reusable data products.
• Understanding of data governance, model risk, privacy, information security, and regulatory requirements associated with financial crime data.
• Experience in Financial Crime Risk Management, AML, financial crime investigations, Sanctions, or related compliance and risk domains.
