Hennessey Engineering is growing, and we're looking for a licensed Professional Engineer to join our team in Carrollton, TX.
We're a small, close-knit firm that values careful engineering, clear communication, and long-term relationships with the people we work with.
What we're looking for
- Active PE license in the State of Texas.
- Experience with residential construction, including foundations, framing, additions, remodels, new construction.
- Familiarity with North Texas conditions, including expansive clay soils and IRC/IBC residential code requirements.
- Strong communication skills. You will work directly with homeowners, architects, and builders.
- A collaborative mindset and attention to detail.
What you'll do
- Design and review structural design for residential and light commercial projects.
- Perform site visits and field assessments.
- Prepare calculations, drawings, and compliance letters
- Work closely with our small team on a variety of projects. Most of our work is custom high end residential.
