Charge Nurse (RN) - OR - Operating Room - $38-48 per hour

Tenet-AZ Region is seeking a OR - Operating Room Charge Nurse (RN) for a nursing job in Avondale, Arizona. Job Summary: The Charge RN must be able to work under high pressure in a fast‑paced environment, applying effective interpersonal and communication skills to achieve organizational service goals. The position includes assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards. The Charge RN is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or by others under their direction. Up to $15,000 bonus based on eligibility. 36 hours per week, Shift: 12 hours, Employment Type: Staff Charge RN OR FT Days Position Summary Coordinates functions and activities related to a single departmental function. The position is responsible for a clinic unit and coordinates the scheduling efforts of the unit RNs. Acts as liaison to internal and external customers (pre‑hospital providers, medical and nursing staff, hospital administration). Responsible for developing and implementing plans/processes for meeting regulatory requirements. Trains and mentors staff. Special Skills Effective interpersonal and communication skills Ability to effectively implement change and assist with management of departmental budget Independent decision‑making in high‑stress situations Supervises Other members of the healthcare team. Education, Licensure, Certifications, and Experience Minimum Education: Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school Preferred Education: BSN Minimum Experience: Two years relevant clinical nursing experience; for Level II EQ only: a minimum of two years of current Level III NICU experience including neonatal ventilator Preferred Experience: Management experience with two years supervisory; certification in specialty area of practice preferred Required Licensure: Registered Nurse license in the State of Arizona Required Certifications: CPR; ACLS (as applicable to facility/department – ER, ICU, Endoscopy, Tele, Cardiac Cath Lab, L&D); PALS or ENPC for ER; PALS preferred for PACU; NRP for Post‑partum, Nursery, L&D; bariatrics specialty training or certification for Bariatrics; Wound‑Ostomy certification or training for Wound Care; Advanced Fetal Monitoring for L&D Required Training: L&D only: Advanced Fetal Monitoring or must obtain within six months of hire Tenet AZ Job ID #View phone number on click.appcast.io (Posted job title: Registered Nurse – Charge OR – FT Evenings) #J-18808-Ljbffr
