Locum to Perm Non-Invasive Cardiologist

North Memorial Health is seeking a locum to perm non-invasive cardiologist. Practice setting includes inpatient, outpatient, and call. The reason for coverage is growth of clinical services and provider departures. Dates of coverage are as soon as credentialed. Call schedule is Q7. Average number of clinic patients per day is 12-14. Average number of inpatient admissions per physician per day is not responsible for direct admissions, hospitalists will handle admissions, 5-10 consults per day. Trauma level/designation is level 1. Number of cardiologists in the group is 17. Will other cardiologists be present during the locum's coverage? Yes. Will the locum physician be required to supervise other health care providers? APPs will support rounding, and will need supervision; also supervise stress tests cardiac rehab as needed. Patient age demographic is adult. Documentation system/EMR is Epic. Prefers local candidates or physicians that are already licensed in MN. Credentialing timeframe is ~90-120 days. Procedures required include echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, electrical cardioversions, electrocardiograms (EKGs), treadmill stress tests, and chemical stress tests.

Submission requirements include board certified or board eligible, ACLS, MN license (preferred), local candidates (highly preferred), and DEA (verbal confirmation required at name clear). Certification requirements include ACLS, board certified, and board eligible. State license requirements are Minnesota.
