What is Uptown Cheapskate?
Uptown Cheapskate is rooted in sustainable fashion, upcycling, and helping the environment. We buy gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories from people in the community, paying cash on the spot or offering 25% more in store credit. We then sell those quality items in our store at huge discounts compared to retail. Every day we help the community refresh their wardrobe, express their personal style, and look and feel confident without breaking the bank.

When you join an Uptown Cheapskate location operated by Summit Recommerce Group (SRG), you'll be part of something bigger. SRG is the largest multi-unit group in the Kid to Kid and Uptown Cheapskate systems, operating nearly 30 locations across six states. We're led by the original founder of Uptown Cheapskate herself. We’re looking for a part time and full time Buyers to join the team at our  Uptown Cheapskate Winston Salem location.
Store Location: 3262 Silas Creek Pkwy Winston Salem NC27103

Responsibilities:

• Be helpful and nice to our customers - our store vibe is everything
• Presort incoming clothes, shoes, and accessories brought in from vendors (people from the community who want to sell to us)
• Use our computer system to buy in and price incoming items
• Organize racks, tag and hang up clothing
• Ring out customers on the register and teach them how to sell to us
• Help make posts on our social media pages
• Merchandise! Organize clothing, handbags, and shoes, make the store look pretty!
