This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12-hour shifts, Nights: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM. Every other weekend required. On-call required for two 12-hour shifts in a 6-week period.

Job Description

As a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse, you will provide care for obstetric patients during labor and delivery. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care in the Labor & Delivery unit.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of care for expectant mothers during labor and delivery.
• Administer medications and assist with procedures including vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Provide education and support to mothers and families regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Assess and monitor fetal heart tones and maternal status.
• Utilize Epic for charting and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
• Current South Carolina or Multi State/Compact RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, NRP required; AWHONN Advanced and STABLE preferred.
• Must have Epic experience.
