This position involves working night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. The successful candidate will exhibit excellent clinical skills and a collaborative spirit to ensure optimal patient care.Unit Information\n \n Unit Type: ICU (Intensive Care Unit)\n Number of Beds: 4\n Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 depending on acuity\n Common Diagnoses: DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac conditions, medical detox, and trauma care\n Titration of Drips: Required for typical ICU medications\n Charge Nurse: Not present; Emergency Room oversees the ICU\n Responsibilities\n \n Provide direct patient care in the ICU, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.\n Titrate IV drips as needed in accordance with care protocols.\n Read and interpret telemetry strips independently.\n Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.\n Participate in training and orientation sessions as required.\n Qualifications\n \n Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an ICU setting preferred.\n Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS. Additional certifications in trauma care (TNCC/TCAR) or similar are also desirable.\n Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations, demonstrating strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.\n Working Environment\n This role may require floating to other departments, including Med-Surg or Emergency Room settings for 1:1 patient care.
