The Master Technician here sets the technical standard for the shop and handles the work that requires the deepest expertise in the building.What You'll Do• Diagnose and repair Volvo vehicles across the full scope of systems -- advanced electrical, high-voltage EV and PHEV systems, engine, transmission, chassis, ADAS, and beyond -- using VIDA diagnostic tools and Volvo OEM procedures• Handle the shop's most complex diagnostic cases -- vehicles that require advanced troubleshooting, intermittent fault resolution, and the kind of systematic thinking that separates a master technician from the rest of the team• Serve as a technical resource for other technicians -- supporting diagnostic questions, reviewing repair approaches, and contributing to the shop's overall technical capability• Perform multi-point inspections and develop accurate repair plans -- communicating findings clearly to service advisors to support guest authorization• Execute repairs to Volvo OEM specifications with precision, speed, and zero-defect quality• Maintain current Volvo factory certifications and stay ahead of platform updates -- particularly across the rapidly evolving EV and PHEV model range• Document all diagnostic findings and completed work accurately on repair orders• Perform test drives to validate complex diagnostic conclusions and confirm repair quality before vehicle returnWhat We're Looking For• Volvo factory Master Technician certification -- required as the primary target for this role.
