Duties

As a Business and Industry Specialist, you will perform the following duties:

• Exercise responsibility as an independent specialist carrying out purchasing of supplies and services utilizing the government purchase card in a timely manner while adhering to Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and federal acquisition regulations.
• Work with the sub-contractors to track progress, work progress and accuracy. Prepare Grants, cooperative agreements and contract reports as requested, following up on actions and assisting where needed. Coordinates Business Applications Solution (BAS)/Procurement Information System for Management (PRISM) for all contract actions.
• Obtain Level 1 COR certification and serve as backup COR. Facilitate contracts with relatively low complexity, low contract management risk, and estimated contract values up to $250,000.

NOTE: These duties are described at the full performance level of the ZA-3; the ZA-2 is developmental leading to such performance. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a FAC-C COR I Level Certification.
