Job Summary
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) in Central Texas. This role involves providing specialized inpatient occupational therapy services to geriatric patients recovering from strokes, neurological conditions, trauma, and orthopedic injuries at a state-of-the-art rehabilitation hospital. The position aims to support patient recovery and maximize functional independence through evidence-based therapies.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Current Occupational Therapist License, BLS certification, authorized to practice in the state, and in possession of a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT). No minimum years of experience required.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information:
  • The role involves treating geriatric patients with diagnoses such as stroke, debility, brain injury, amputee, cardiac, spinal cord injury, or orthopedic injuries.
  • The unit maintains a caseload of 5-6 patients daily, with mostly 1:1 treatment and some group therapy.
  • Experience in inpatient rehabilitation preferred, with a minimum of 1 year in intensive physical rehabilitation (IPR).
  • Equipment used includes durable medical equipment (DME) and therapy aids.
  • The candidate should possess basic computer skills, effective communication skills in English, and exhibit a cooperative, team-oriented personality.
  • Start date is September 7, 2026, with an end date of November 30, 2026.
  • Report to Sheri Rauch or Carolyn Watson at the designated time and location.
