North Central Utility (NCU), the second-largest Utility Trailer dealer in the US, is looking for a self-motivated and results-driven Parts Manager to join our dynamic team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

EMPLOYEE MANAGEMENT: 

• Manage, train, and motivate route sales, counter, warehouse & delivery personnel 

• Manage department/staff training 

• Manage team reviews and staff development 

• Schedule and oversee product training for employees and Customers

• Oversee estimating and quoting 

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT: 

• Oversee purchasing functions, including stock order calculation, order processing 

• Review and follow up on delinquent orders 

• Oversee and manage warehouse and parts store 

• Maximize fill rate 

• Manage EOY inventory and audits 

SALES MANAGEMENT: 

• Maximize NCU profit margins 

• Create effective marketing programs 

• Promote & build the NCU customer base 

• Oversee and manage profitable parts routes 

• Set department sales and profit goals 

• Manage & oversee department expenses 

• Develop and leverage relationships with key Customers 

• Develop and maintain Vendor relationships 

• Share samples of new product(s) with our customer base, selling the features and benefits 

• Create impactful action plans and develop strategies to close sales gaps 

• Accurate and timely completion of sales data and reports 

• Manage customer relationships 

• Oversee store planning & merchandising 

• Report data on sales volume, seasonal profits, and sales revenue

DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT: 

• Identify departmental procedure & process improvements 

• Assist managing building maintenance 

• Work with other department managers 

• Effectively manage executing on projects and standards at store level 

• Accurate and timely completion of reporting and paperwork 

• Maintain department files

• Other Tasks as Assigned

 

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent 

• Experience leading and managing people 

• Interpersonal skills and ability to professionally communicate with customers

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), technology, and computer proficiency

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position

• Driver's License 

 

Job Type: Full-time 

 

Schedule: 

• Day shift, Mon-Fri (no weekends) 

• No weekends

North Central Utility (NCU) is one of the largest semi-trailer dealerships in the nation and the largest in the North Central region with 10 locations throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota. NCU offers reefers, dry vans, and flatbed trailers from Utility Trailer Manufacturing at all locations and vocational trailers from MAC Trailers in Wisconsin - we sell new and used semi-trailers. With Moore Space, we offer temporary storage container solutions as well. 

Our service department offers everything from routine maintenance, certified DOT inspections, to precision laser alignment, as well as complete wreck repair for trailers of all makes and models. With the addition of Cargobull reefer units to the Utility portfolio, NCU is expanding our Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) and mobile service capabilities.

Our parts department has an extensive inventory of Heavy-Duty Truck/Tractor and Trailer parts. With our extensive product offerings, expert service capabilities, and geographic reach, we ensure we are a “One-Stop Shop” for truck and semi-trailer parts.
