Position Purpose: Designers are responsible for creating detailed plans using Mitek software for roof and floor trusses to be used in construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of structural engineering principles, building codes, and design software.

Primary Role Expectations:
- Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Produce detailed placement plans and truss designs using plans and specifications to meet the customer needs and building codes.
- Produce accurate production ready truss layouts, design drawings, and estimates.
- Support the sales team with excellent customer service (internal and external)
- Work with professional engineers for truss design and repair details.
- Communicate with customers and sales staff to gather information necessary to complete projects accurately.
- Maintain communication with customers and management as needed to meet production deadlines.
- Communicate specifications with the production team to ensure timely production.
- May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in roof and floor truss design for residential projects in Mitek software
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of wood products, engineered wood products, building codes, and building construction materials and methods.
- Knowledge of design, production, and sales of manufactured trusses and related products.
- Ability to read blueprints and visualize details in three dimensions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
