Licensed Insurance Agent

Location Bastrop, Louisiana Role: Licensed Insurance Sales Agent Full‑time field role with benefits. Kemper, a diversified insurance holding company, is seeking licensed agents to join our field sales teams. As a licensed insurance agent, you will be assigned a book of business that provides prospecting opportunities for new sales and immediate income through a commissions for premiums collected each month. With a pay‑for‑performance compensation model, agents have the opportunity to determine their own income and grow their earning potential as their book expands. • 750 bonus when hired and assigned to an agency
• 1,500 bonus after six production months
• 2,500 bonus after 12 production months

To qualify, agents must maintain a $200 average monthly issued premium and be an active employee in good standing. Agents must be fully licensed to sell all Kemper Life products in their resident state. The program is not available to rehires or agents with temporary licenses. Responsibilities Coordinate home visits and conduct sales presentations, recommend products, and close new sales Prospect for new sales opportunities Maintain strong customer relationships by collecting premiums on a pre‑arranged schedule that you determine Respond promptly to service requests such as beneficiary changes, claims, and loans Record keeping, account for money collected, and process policy paperwork Agent Expectations Grow the assigned territory through new sales Build strong working relationships with customers Devote the time necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the role Pursue continuous professional development in insurance products and sales effectiveness Minimum Qualifications Fully licensed to sell all Kemper Life’s products (Life, Health, P&C) Customer service experience At least 18 years of age Valid driver’s license with required auto insurance coverage Dependable vehicle for daily travel Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening Authorization to work in the United States Equal Opportunity Employer Kemper is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
