Store 4707246: 89 Main St, West Lebanon, New Hampshire 03784 Shift Availability: Days Job Type: Full time ESSENTIAL DUTIES Food Merchandising: Complies with company guidelines for maximizing sales, profitability and customer service by ensuring all grocery deliveries are accurate, stocked, attractively displayed and priced correctly. Completes build‑to’s for ordering/purchasing merchandise. Maintains inventory by checking in delivery, pricing items, and stocking merchandise according to schematic. Validates deliveries by verifying invoices, reviewing discrepancies with the Store Manager, and delivering outdated merchandise to the Store Manager to ensure charges match deliveries. Prepares displays by assembling, dating and price‑marking in‑store displays. Rotates food items, monitoring quality and freshness measures to protect customers from illness. Monitors and maintains food preparation area and display cases to attract and retain customers. Assists in training new associates with an emphasis on excellent customer service when necessary. Monitors and organizes inventory to prevent being out of stock on an item that a customer intends to purchase. Customer Satisfaction: Provides prompt excellent customer service in a courteous, friendly and attentive manner. Greets customers as they enter the area and thanks them as they leave. Resolves or assists in resolving routine customer concerns within established guidelines. Reports to work on time and follows the dress and appearance code. Prepares and serves quality food and beverage to satisfy customer needs. Facility Condition: Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Sweeps, mops and cleans floors. Dusters and/or washes windows, counters, displays, store areas and bathrooms. Picks up and disposes of trash, litter or debris. Inspects store facilities and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and proper working order. Cleans, sanitizes and maintains food service equipment to protect customers from illness. Administrative: Attends job‑related meetings (may be required to work irregular hours). Maintains intradepartmental workflow by fostering a spirit of cooperation. Complies with company policies and procedures. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Performs all duties with minimal supervision. Performs additional duties as assigned by the Store Manager. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum age of 18 years old. High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience in retail sales preferred. Ability to work as scheduled, including arriving to work on time. Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Ability to perform the four basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply and divide) preferred. Ability to perform essential duties and physical functions described below. Ability to work in the conditions described below. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Exposed to cold or warm temperature extremes while performing occasional work in a walk‑in cooler and/or freezer and outdoors. Occasionally lifts/carries up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead (i.e., assisting in stocking/maintaining inventory levels). Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 pounds from ground to waist (i.e., to replenish fountain syrups). Grasps, reaches and manipulates objects with hands for the entire shift (requires eye‑hand coordination). Pushes/pulls with arms up to a force of 20 pounds (i.e., utilizing a hand‑truck). Reaches overhead for objects. Bends and twists at the waist. Communicates orally. Operates a cash register and/or computer keyboard. Stoops, kneels, squats, bends, pushes and pulls. Works alone. Exposed to occasional noise. Stands and/or walks for an entire shift. May require climbing a ladder to store and retrieve materials or place and remove signs. WORK ENVIRONMENT Performs approximately 95% of work indoors, but will be required to clean parking lots, gas pumps and take out garbage. May take out garbage during the day or early evening hours. Exposed to extreme cold temperatures while performing occasional work in a walk‑in cooler and/or freezer. Exposed to occasional noise. Works with minimum direction and periodic supervision.
