Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Current Kansas Registered Nurse license; at least 2 years of experience as an emergency or trauma nurse in a Level II trauma center; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Basic Life Support (BLS); Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); knowledge of trauma care, ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction care, stroke care, sepsis, and triage.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN), and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The position follows a mid-shift schedule, generally ranging from 10:00 AM–10:30 PM to 1:00 PM–1:30 AM, with every third weekend required. Clinical responsibilities include procedures associated with a Level II trauma center. Patient experience standards include use of Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, and Thank You (AIDET), whiteboards, positive attitudes, and a collaborative culture. Required attire includes a solid cobalt blue top with black or cobalt blue pants and closed-toe shoes.
