Specimen Processor II

Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor II to prepare laboratory specimens for analysis, manage data entry, and communicate with client staff in a Florence, Alabama facility. This onsite role involves processing, labeling, packing, and shipping specimens in a high-throughput environment, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve customer and specimen problems
• Accurately identify, label, pack, and ship specimens to testing facilities
• Perform spinning, freezing, splitting, and other specialized services as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ years laboratory, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse experience
• 2+ years medical or patient-facing healthcare experience
• Comfortable handling biological specimens and accurately identifying them
• Strong data entry, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Passing standardized color blindness test
