Position Overview
As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing a variety of tile materials with precision and care. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Your work will directly contribute to the beauty and functionality of residential and commercial spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Install ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, and specialty tiles with expert precision
• Prepare surfaces and ensure proper alignment and spacing
• Mix and apply adhesives, grout, and sealants
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to meet design specifications and timelines

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tile installation (minimum 3 years preferred)
• Familiarity with tools, materials, and safety practices
• Ability to read blueprints and follow design plans
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Reliable transportation and punctuality

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut tiles to fit around obstacles and corners.
• Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesives.
• Install tiles on floors, walls, and ceilings using appropriate techniques.
• Ensure proper alignment and spacing of tiles for a professional finish.
• Perform grouting and sealing of installed tiles to protect against moisture.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as carpenters and drywall installers, to complete projects efficiently.
• Restore damaged areas by replacing or repairing tiles as needed.
• Conduct water damage restoration tasks when required.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Skills

• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to tile installation.
• Knowledge of construction estimating for project planning.
• Experience with fixture installation to ensure proper integration with tiled surfaces.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques to maintain the longevity of installed tiles.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges during installation.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently when necessary.
• Attention to detail for precise measurements and quality finishes.
• Previous experience in maintenance person services is a plus.
