Duties Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating performance to promote a high-performing team. Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth shift management and efficient workflow. Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, purchasing, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities. Implement effective sales strategies and marketing initiatives to boost store traffic and revenue. Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Assist with scheduling and cash management duties such as cashiering and cash handling. Utilize POS systems for transactions, inventory tracking, and sales reporting to support operational efficiency. Conduct employee orientation sessions and training programs to develop team skills in retail sales, product knowledge, and customer engagement. Maintain organizational standards for pricing, signage, cleanliness, safety protocols, and store presentation. Monitor store performance metrics regularly to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Qualifications Proven management experience in retail or grocery environments with supervising responsibilities. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment. Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, merchandising, POS systems, and retail math. Experience with recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development programs. Knowledge of budgeting, sales management, pricing strategies, and marketing techniques. Proficiency in cash handling procedures and administrative tasks. Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced settings. Organizational skills with a focus on time management and prioritization of tasks. Previous assistant manager or shift supervisor experience is preferred; supervisory experience is essential.
