Litigation Attorney (Personal Injury)Position OverviewWe are seeking a driven Litigation Attorney with strong personal injury experience to manage and litigate a diverse caseload on behalf of injured clients. The ideal candidate will handle all phases of civil litigation from intake and investigation through trial and appeals with a focus on maximizing client recovery. This role requires excellent courtroom advocacy, negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with experts and support staff.Key ResponsibilitiesManage an active caseload of personal injury matters, including automobile, trucking, and catastrophic injury claims.Conduct client intake, investigation, and case evaluation; develop case strategies and litigation plans.Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and settlement documents.Lead discovery efforts, including written discovery, depositions, and subpoenas; coordinate with experts and medical professionals.Prepare and argue motions, present oral arguments, and represent clients at hearings and trial.Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance adjusters to achieve favorable client outcomes.Work with accident reconstructionists, medical experts, and vocational specialists to build strong cases.Maintain accurate case management records, deadlines, and billing; supervise paralegals and support staff as needed.Provide clear communication and regular updates to clients regarding case progress and strategy.Participate in pretrial preparation, jury selection, trial exhibits, witness preparation, and trial advocacy.Qualifications3+ years of civil litigation experience with a focus on personal injury matters; trial experience strongly preferred.Demonstrated litigation skills: motion practice, depositions, trial advocacy, and settlement negotiation.Proven ability to manage heavy caseloads, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.Strong written and oral communication, legal research, and analytical skills.Comfort working with medical records, accident reports, and expert witnesses.Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to client meetings, depositions, and court appearances as required.Nice to have: direct experience with car accident, trucking and motor vehicle accident cases, and wrongful death litigation.
