Oracle Data Platform Architect

Salary: $147,300 - 243,800 per year Requirements:

• Extensive solution architecture and hands-on implementation experience with Oracle Exadata, including on-premises hardware, ExaCC, ExaCS, and/or Oracle Autonomous Database.
• Strong knowledge of cloud data platform technologies, including data warehousing, data lakes, and real-time analytics.
• Deep expertise in Oracle cloud data platform offerings such as Exadata, Autonomous Database, and GenAI.
• 10+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator using RMAN, Data Guard, Transportable Tablespaces, ZDM, and related migration tools.
• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration methods.
• Experience with cloud-based data warehousing, data lake architecture, and modern data processing frameworks such as Spark and Kafka.
• Programming ability in Python, SQL, or similar languages for data manipulation and analysis.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Industry certifications such as Oracle DBA, OCI Architect, AWS Architect, Azure Architect, GCP Architect, Snowflake Certified Architect, and/or Databricks Certified Associate are highly valued.
• Experience as an Oracle DBA and/or Oracle DB Migration Architect/Engineer with a strong understanding of industry-specific data challenges and opportunities.
• Hands-on experience as an Oracle DB practitioner, technical consultant, or systems integrator is strongly preferred.
• Experience leading data platform migration projects to cloud environments.
• Preferred location in NY/NJ/PA/OH/Washington DC Metro/Atlanta/Charlotte NC.
• Ability to travel approximately 25% and work from home approximately 75%.
• Base location preference near New York City with the ability to visit customers locally.
• Experience implementing Oracle ExadataDB in Financial Services, Insurance, and High Tech industries is a plus.
• Familiarity with competitor offerings such as Snowflake and Databricks is a plus.

• Partner with customers to understand their data journey, including migration, integration, and modernization, and recommend tailored Oracle ExaDB cloud data platform solutions.
• Design and architect cloud-native data platforms using OCI services, including Exadata, Autonomous Database, and GenAI for advanced analytics.
• Provide thought leadership and best-practice guidance to help customers improve their data architecture and business outcomes.
• Lead technical workshops and presentations for customers and partners on our data platform capabilities and value.
• Deliver detailed step-by-step technical guidance on Oracle deployments, including cloud tenancy setup, ExadataDB provisioning, and Azure/GCP/AWS networking and security configurations.
• Monitor competitor offerings such as Snowflake and Databricks, along with market trends, to shape compelling positioning for our solutions.
• Work with Product Management, Product Development, and Support teams to share feedback and help influence focused features and services.
• Share knowledge across our Sales Engineering organization to promote continuous learning.

Competitive compensation is provided, with a hiring range in the US of $147,300 to $243,800 per year, plus potential equity, compensation deferral, and commission.
