Solidworks Designer

7+ years of experience working within SolidWorks for Electronic/Mechanical Designing Familiar with various phases of production, machining, manufacturing, fabrication Ability to compile bill of materials (BOM) to understand parts needed in designs Job Description Insight Global is looking to hire multiple SolidWorks Designers to support a customer in the Hanover, MD area. This role supports the design and documentation of remotely operated sub-sea vehicles by updating and refining existing SolidWorks models and drawings. The engineer collaborates with engineers, senior designers, and manufacturing personnel to implement drawing corrections, respond to redlines, and make real-time updates to ensure accuracy and manufacturability. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Creating and modifying part and assembly-level CAD models, producing detailed and layout drawings with proper GD&T, and reviewing work for technical accuracy and completeness. Contributing to the design of moderately complex components, selecting appropriate off-the-shelf parts, and ensuring all designs meet quality and customer requirements.
