Speech Language Pathologist Location: Canton, GA 30114 Date Posted: 06/17/2026 Education: Masters Degree Our Client is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide services at a school district in Canton, GA for the 2026-2027 school year. Hours Monday - Friday; 7:30am - 4:00pm depending on grade level. Responsibilities Provides direct and indirect clinical services to students diagnosed with an academically-based communication disorder in areas of articulation, language, voice and/or fluency. Completes comprehensive diagnostic assessments of speech, voice, and language impairments; determines the presence/absence of a specific communication disorder that adversely impacts academic progress. Serves as a resource to school staff by developing a balanced program for oral communication and speech, language, and literacy development. Provides direct or indirect service to students with a swallowing disorder as it relates to the educational environment. Implements therapeutic programs to meet individual needs of students with communication impairment. Assists and guides teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language impairments. Assists in proper referrals of students to agencies and specialists in the community, as appropriate. Provides individualized therapy programs to meet students' needs and correct existing speech or language impairments. Compiles case history data when additional family, health, and developmental history are deemed appropriate. Conducts speech and language screenings. Coordinates assistive technology support services. Required Skills & Experience Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology. Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist by the Georgia Office of the State Superintendent of Education. Eligibility for AHSA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology or Clinical Fellowship Year. #J-18808-Ljbffr
