Junior Financial Advisor / Financial Planning Associate

Wealthnest Planners is seeking an ambitious, client-centered individual to join our team as an entry-level Junior Financial Advisor. This unique role is structured as an intentional apprenticeship designed to build an elite, holistic financial advisor from the ground up.

We believe the most effective advisors are those who understand every moving part of a comprehensive planning practice. Year one focuses heavily on front-office operations, client relations, and standard administrative operating procedures. As you master the foundations of our client experience, you will systematically advance into tax preparation, investment research, financial plan development, and direct client-facing advisory work alongside our senior planners.

• Serve as the first point of contact for the firm, greeting visiting clients with genuine warmth and professionalism.
• Manage incoming phone inquiries, screen calls, and coordinate firm-wide scheduling.
• Prepare senior advisors for client meetings by assembling agendas, review packets, custodial paperwork, and account summaries.
• Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) to handle operational workflows, document archiving, and CRM data accuracy.
• Support day-to-day office administrative needs and participate in internal team meetings.

• Train directly in tax preparation workflows, learning how tax strategy drives superior wealth planning.
• Assist senior planners in gathering, organizing, and analyzing client tax documents and source records.
• Participate in entry-level tax return preparation and multi-year projection analysis.
• Expand into custodial service requests, cashiering, and account maintenance via LPL Financial platforms.

• Shadow senior advisors in discovery, review, and recommendation meetings.
• Conduct portfolio, insurance, and retirement income research using planning software tools.
• Assist in constructing comprehensive, individualized financial plans that encompass estate, investment, and tax strategies.
• Transition toward leading select client meetings and managing an internal book of relationships under firm mentorship.

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Planning, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
• Professional Aspirations: Strong desire to pursue a long-term advisory career; interest in or active pursuit of industry credentials (e.g., CFP® certification, SIE, Series 7, Series 66).
• Interpersonal Excellence: Natural relationship builder who enjoys engaging with clients, active listening, and providing high-touch personal service.
• Work Ethic & Team Mindset: Humble, coachable approach with the patience to master operational fundamentals before stepping into advanced advisory duties.
