Commodity Manager, Resins | Morristown, TN$95,000 to $100,000We're looking for a Commodity Manager to lead procurement strategy for a plastics and chemicals manufacturer with facilities across the US. This role owns sourcing for resins, TiO2, carbon black, and chemical additives, and plays a key part in driving cost savings, supply continuity, and supplier performance across the business.What You'll Be Doing:Manage purchasing requirements across US facilities, maintaining detailed vendor data, pricing history, and contractsLead supplier selection, quotation processes, total cost of ownership analysis, and contract negotiationsConduct market analysis to track trends, cost drivers, and technology shifts in the supply baseBuild strong supplier relationships through site visits, audits, and performance evaluationsDevelop commodity strategies to maximize purchasing leverage and cost efficiencyLead cost reduction workshops and corrective action processesPartner cross functionally with Procurement, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Quality, Sales, Technical Services, and Operations to mitigate supply riskWhat You Bring:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Chemistry, or a related field5+ years of procurement experience, ideally in plastics or chemicalsStrong background in supplier relationship management and strategic sourcingAdvanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI skills (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central a plus)Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documentsStrong analytical, communication, and organizational skillsComfort managing multiple projects independentlyWillingness to travel as neededCompensation for this role is $95,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on experience, with a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
