Facilities Technician

Terrapin is looking for a Facilities Technician to join our growing company. As a Clinton County, Pennsylvania based cannabis company, Terrapin is a pioneer in the emerging industry. Terrapin is a cultivator and processor of high-quality medical and recreational cannabis products. With over 15 years of industry experience, Terrapin was licensed to operate in the Pennsylvania marketplace in 2017, growing to more than 200 employees. Retail expansion in Pennsylvania have created a need for a Facilities Technician.

The ideal candidate for the Facilities Technician position will possess a wide ranging, yet specific set of skills and experience. This role requires a clean driving record for driving a company vehicle and/or using your own personal vehicle for business travel, with mileage reimbursement provided for personal vehicle usage. They will be able and willing to communicate, respond quickly to new directions, and be conscientious in record keeping during the course of rendering service at various Terrapin locations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Drywall patching and repair
• Painting and staining various mediums
• Ability to follow all sanitation and safety guidelines including wearing proper PPE such as scrubs, hairnets, etc.
• Perform basic plumbing maintenance, such as replacing bathroom fixtures, toilet wax rings, diagnosing leaks, etc
• Perform basic electrical maintenance such as safely replacing light fixtures and bulbs, soldering, cutting and stripping wire, etc.
• Performs routine maintenance when necessary
• Troubleshoots equipment and machines
• Groundskeeping such as winter maintenance and lawn care
• Assists in cleaning and custodial duties (if required)
• Performs all other duties as assigned
• Follows compliance and security guidelines and procedures

Qualifications and Requirements

• Knowledge of general carpentry and repair for commercial and residential settings
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• Team player who can also work independently
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to travel to different facilities within PA
• Experience with metal and wood fabrication preferred
• Experience with surface equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.
• Comfortable working at elevated heights of 15 feet or higher
• Perform job duties in an efficient and safe manner
• Basic computer skills
• Perform repetitive tasks in a timely manner
• Must be able to pass state-mandated background checks
• Must have a valid driver's license
• HVAC experience preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to climb ladders, bend or crawl into awkward spaces.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facilities including roof and ground.
