Shipping Clerk

Job Details Location: Western Industries Plastic Products – Winfield, KS 67156 Shift: 8am – 5pm, Monday‑Friday (weekends and overtime as needed/required) Starting rate: $17.00 per hour Summary of Job Duties Print shipping paperwork and labels using ERP and labeling software. Schedule shipments with carriers for on‑time deliveries and assign loads to shipping personnel. Communicate customer‑specific loading requirements to the team. Verify proper packaging, wrapping, pallet, accuracy of tags, load sheets, and shipping documents per customer specs. Maintain accurate shipment information in the ERP system. Ensure all shipment paperwork is properly routed to Accounting. Prepare and ship products as required. Support warehouse organization and product movement. Maintain accurate inventory records. Ensure adherence to safety protocols in all work areas. Work Environment This position operates in both office and manufacturing environments that are non‑climate controlled, with noise levels that are moderate to loud, requiring associates to wear hearing protection. Fast‑paced team environment with interruptions and ongoing problem solving. Physical Demands Regular use of office equipment, standing, walking, bending, stooping for long periods of time, gripping/grasping, twisting, reaching overhead, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs. Use of hand tools and/or power tools, and other industrial equipment. Ability to wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Six months of customer service and data entry experience. Six months of warehouse shipping experience preferred. Six months of forklift experience preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification. Work Authorization / Security Clearance Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
