Assignment Details

• Job Title: Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: June 9, 2025
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week (option for 48 hours/week available)
• On-Call: No
• Floating: Required (except to Behavioral Health and ER unless holding)
• Scrub Color: Navy

Unit & Patient Info

• Unit Type: ICU (includes Neuro/Med, CTICU, Surg/Trauma)
• Bed Count: Total 42 beds
  • Neuro/Med ICU: 22 beds
  • CTICU: 6 beds
  • Surgical/Trauma ICU: 14 beds
• Common Diagnoses:
  • Neuro/Med: Strokes, Sepsis, AMS, Respiratory Failure, CHF, Post-STEMI, TCAR
  • CTICU: CV Surgery, Cardiogenic Shock, AAA
  • Surg/Trauma: Trauma, Major post-op surgeries
• Specialty Equipment:
  • CRRT (Prismaflex or NxStage)
  • IABP
  • Ventriculostomy
  • ICP Monitoring
  • TTM (Artic Sun)

Requirements

• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years ICU experience (ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU)
  • Prior travel experience required
  • Charge nurse experience highly preferred
  • Must have experience with CRRT and Prismaflex
  • Cardiac/Heart ICU experience highly preferred
• Certifications:
  • AHA ACLS
  • AHA BLS
  • NIHSS
• Licensure & Docs:
  • Active NY RN license
