Junior IT Technician

Technical Details Department: IT Job Type: Full-Time, on-site Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree preferred, an Associate Degree with at least 1 year of IT-related experience, or 2-3 years of experience as an IT technician, and/or A+, Network+ Certifications 2+ years of experience providing IT support for 20+ person office, preferably in an agency setting Strong familiarity with cyber security and experience managing systems that handle confidential data Proficient in Jamf and comfortable with a Mac-based as well as PC-based ecosystems Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills; able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. Comfortable managing confidential and sensitive information. A proactive team player who thrives in fast-paced environments and adapts quickly to change. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, personal accountability, and courtesy Work independently and collaboratively with internal team Server administration and basic programming/development experience is preferred Interest/passion for entertainment, film, gaming, and pop/internet culture is a bonus Security Maintain content security guidelines per client needs including TPN and MPA compliance. In charge of managing all remediation tasks that come from our quarterly penetration tests and annual TPN security audit. In charge of managing all permissions through all platforms for all Watson employees, contractors, and clients. In charge of managing and overseeing security systems: Simplisafe, ReoLink CCTV, sensors and our keyless entry locks. In charge of configuring, managing, and maintaining network systems:, Fortigate firewall, Juniper switch, several Synology NAS’, and UPS’. Infrastructure In charge of configuring, managing, and maintaining several SAAS platforms and other websites that include: Slack, Google Workspace, Jamf Cloud, Jamf Protect,Radar, AWS, Box, Dropbox, Adobe CC, Maxon,, Sprout Social, Cloudflare, Avaya Office Manager, Sortly, Microsoft Office 365 Admin Center, Microsoft Teams, Github, and Gitlab (AWS EC2 Instance). Onboard/offboard user accounts and devices through Google Workspace, Jamf, and all other SAAS platforms if needed. Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, systems, networks, and printers. Oversee our weekly incremental backup on our Synology RHINO NAS to ensure backups are being performed through AWS Glacier. Maintain IT inventory through Sortly and our internal device/drives google sheets. Resolve and maintain IT tickets through our Halp ticketing system. Maintain AV conference room setup and our Fireline phone system. Configure, manage, and maintain Watson’s network infrastructure. In charge of making sure critical network systems are fully powered down and powered back on when maintenance in the office building occurs. Create and update IT policies and procedures. Other Duties Researching, implementing new technologies and possibly upgrades. Setting IT goals for Watson Design Group and implementing plans to meet them. Administer and oversee all asset downloads/uploads from several of Watson’s clients to ensure minimal disruption to our internal team. Maintain detailed updates on current issues, new implementations, and for weekly meetings with management. Compensation $25–$30/hour, depending on relevant experience, technical expertise, and qualifications. This is a full-time, nonexempt position and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law. Benefits and paid time off are offered separately from base compensation.
