Sr Software Engineer, iOS

Job Overview Senior Software Engineer who works with a team of software engineers, network and systems engineers to design, implement, and deploy software that meets customer requirements, scales easily, removes limitations of traditional networking solutions, and supports deployment in highly available environments. The role requires active participation in architecture and design of software components focused on virtualization, micro services, SDN, NFV, and Big Data platforms. Job Responsibilities Technical Engineering Services Drive engineering projects by developing software solutions; conducting tests and inspections; preparing reports and calculations. Expected to supervise base and associate level engineers as needed. Understand system protocols, how systems operate and data flows, and be aware of current technology benefits. Independently develop a full software stack, understanding building blocks, interactions, dependencies, and tools required to complete software and automation work. Conduct independent study of current technology and interact with system engineers to define system requirements necessary for automation. Innovation Contribute to designs to implement new ideas using new frameworks to improve existing or new systems/processes/services. Review existing designs and processes to highlight more efficient ways to complete work through industry perspectives. Understand creation of company IPR. Technical Leadership Collaborate with technical teams using system expertise to deliver technical solutions. Continuously learn and teach others on existing and new technologies. Contribute to the development of others through mentoring or in-house workshops and learning sessions. Technology Strategy Contribute to new and existing technology options that support business goals. Understand current technology supporting business goals, system protocols, how systems operate and data flows. Aware of current technology benefits and independently develop a full software stack, building blocks, interactions, dependencies, and tools for software and automation work. Interact with system engineers to define system requirements for automation. Technical Writing Write basic documentation on how technology works and create clear documentation for new code and systems. Document system designs, presentations, and business requirements for manager level consumption. Education and Work Experience Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 5 years of progressively responsible postbaccalaureate relevant work experience. (Required) Master's/Advanced Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 3 years of relevant work experience. (Preferred) 4-7 years of technical engineering experience. 3-5 years of experience developing mobile applications using Swift. The actual starting pay will vary within this range based on location, qualifications, and experience.
