Description Job Purpose and Responsibilities The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent across all levels of the company, from apprentices and interns to skilled trades, project managers, and professional staff. This role ensures that staffing needs are met in alignment with the company's strategic goals and workforce plans, while maintaining a strong focus on building a high-performing team for a large-scale construction operation with over 700 employees.
Responsibilities • Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, reference checks, and offer preparation. • Apprentice & Intern Programs: Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and program development for apprentices and interns in partnership with operations and training teams. • Workforce Planning: Partner with department leaders to forecast staffing needs and develop talent pipelines for both short-term project demands and long-term growth. • Candidate Sourcing: Utilize multiple channels including job boards, social media, career fairs, trade schools, and community outreach to attract candidates. • Employer Branding: Promote the company as an employer of choice in the construction industry through marketing, events, and social media presence. • Compliance: Ensure recruitment practices comply with all federal, state, and local employment laws. • Data & Reporting: Track and report recruiting metrics, trends, and candidate pipeline activity to support continuous improvement. • Onboarding Support: Collaborate with HR and training teams to ensure smooth integration of new hires into the company culture and safety programs. • Industry Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with trade schools, apprenticeship programs, workforce development agencies, and professional organizations. • Uphold Tapani's Purpose document: Demonstrate actions and behaviors that align with Tapani's Purpose and Values. Desired Skills and Qualifications Skills and Abilities: • Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with candidates at all career stages.
• Proactive problem-solver and creative thinker for hard-to-fill positions.
Education and Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 3+ years of recruiting or HR experience preferred. • Strong knowledge of full-cycle recruiting and sourcing techniques. • Experience managing apprentice and internship programs is preferred but not required. • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms. • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills. Other Requirements: • Office environment with periodic visits to construction sites, job fairs, and schools.
• May require occasional evening or weekend events.

- Pay: $27.20 - $40.80 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)
- $75 phone allowance or company phone
