In addition to an online store, Rexel USA has a distribution network of over 460 warehouse storefront locations throughout the U.S. Day shift available starting at 8:00 am!We're looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Warehouse Associate to join our team in Lakewood, United States. In this role, you'll be the backbone of our warehouse operations, ensuring that orders are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. As a Warehouse Associate, you'll work collaboratively with your team to receive, stock, stage, and ship materials in a manner that meets our company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity. If you're organized, flexible, and committed to delivering excellent results, we'd love to hear from you.Responsibilities:Receive incoming materials from vendors, customers, and other warehouse locations, verifying quantities and descriptions against packing listsStock and organize incoming orders on shelves in designated areas in an orderly mannerPrepare and process customer orders from the warehouse, ensuring correct product types and quantities are selectedProcess shipment paperwork, including verification of merchandise, application of labels and postage, and adherence to customer shipping instructionsOperate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other machinery as requiredLoad and unload common carrier and company vehicles with precision and carePerform regular inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies to maintain accurate stock recordsInspect equipment and perform minor maintenance tasks; alert supervisors to any repair or service needsReport freight damage claims and maintain detailed documentation of warehouse transactionsContribute to a culture of safety by following established Standard Operating Procedures and Environmental Health and Safety rulesMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environmentCollaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals and deadlinesAssist with training entry-level warehouse staff and provide mentorship when neededPerform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operationsQualifications:**Required Qualifications:**Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks effectivelyExcellent time management and organizational skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisorsPhysical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks in a warehouse environmentAbility to handle loads safely and work in a fast-paced settingStrong knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe workplaceWillingness to adhere to safety procedures and warehouse protocolsAbility to meet deadlines and work collaboratively as part of a teamBasic computer knowledge for warehouse management systemsAbility to perform basic mathematical calculations**Preferred Qualifications:**Prior warehouse or logistics experienceCertification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipmentGeneral knowledge of electrical products or related industry experienceHigh School diploma or GEDProblem-solving abilities and resilience in handling workplace challengesExperience with inventory management systemsPhysical Demands:Sit: Must be able to remain in a stationary position - Occasionally – up to 20%Walk: Must be able to move about inside/outside office or work location - Constantly – at least 51%Use hands to finger, handle, or feel: Operates a computer and other office machinery - Constantly – at least 51%Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: Must be able to crouch down to stock shelves, pick up boxes, or position oneself to maintain computers in the lab/under desks/in server closet - Constantly – at least 51%Climb or balance: Must be able to ascend/descend on a ladder, forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment - Constantly – at least 51%Talk, hear, taste, smell: Must be able to use senses to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients and detect hazardous conditions - Constantly – at least 51%Weight and Force Demands:Up to 10 pounds - Constantly – at least 51%Up to 25 pounds - Constantly – at least 51%Up to 50 pounds - Constantly – at least 51%Working Environment:Exposed to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and/or exposure to heat and cold - Constantly – at least 51%Exposed to electrical hazards; risk of electrical shock - Constantly – at least 51%Handles or works with potentially dangerous equipment - Constantly – at least 51%Rexel USA (A VEVRAA Federal Contractor), and its affiliated companies, is an EEO/Disabled/Veterans employer.
